Carbon - Background Information

Carbon is a key concept for the Ocean Acidification cart, Carbon Monitor and Carbon Tracker dataset. Here is some great background information on carbon, and all these programs that discuss carbon.

(Recommend full screen to read titles - there is a lot going on in this video- you can see the seasonal changes in the northern and southern hemisphere; you can also see the increase in the number of local signals (places where measurements are being made). Note too how the South Pole measurement doesn't experience much seasonal variation and northern latitudes have a lot of seasonal variation- this is to be expected since there isn't much photosynthesis happening at the South Pole.
