Mmm, crickets!

It seems like entomophagy, or the consumption of insects as food, is gaining some traction. At least according to this article from NPR. Pest control company Rentokil sponsored a charity "Pestaraunt" event to raise awareness about pest control and money to combat world hunger. But maybe, just maybe, events like this will lead to more acceptance of insects as a food source!

  1. Whenever I see or hear the suggestion of eating insects I recall the time when Stephen Fry broached the subject on his show "QI." He tried eating an cricket, but went into a horrible coughing spasm when a leg caught in his throat.
