Sea star wasting mystery partially solved!
Most of us have heard by now that the sea star wasting issue has been linked to a virus. This is a good article from The Seattle Times about what we still don't know, and the way other factors may be contributing to the fact that this virus, present in sea stars since the 1940s, is suddenly affecting stars now.
