Chitons see with their shells!*

*Or more importantly, they see with eyes that are embedded into their shells. The lens of the eye is even made from the same material (mineral) as the shell, aragonite.

In an analysis of the sight capability of these tiny eyes, researchers at MIT have recreated, by mounting a chiton eye lens to a microscopic objective and viewing objects underwater, the resolution at which chitons see!
